The Nigeria police reacted as woman assaulted by the police in River State

 The Nigerian police force have reacted to the trending video of a woman that was assaulted by some police on September 1, 2023 during a stop and search in a police check point in Port Harcourt.

The lady was pulled over by the police after conducting a thorough search on her car they found and her papers was complete they engaged in a confrontation.

The lady was however, punched by one of the police men which landed the lady on the ground leaving her mouth bleeding ceaselessly. 

The sister of the assaulted lady came to the scene and made the video viral.

The Nigerian police force reacted said:

“We are aware of a recent video circulating on social media, allegedly showing an unfortunate incident involving some police officers and a member of the public.

Preliminary findings have pinned the scene to Rivers State. We take this matter seriously and are actively investigating the situation.”
