On Tuesday, the Delta State Police Command made the announcement that it had detained more than one hundred suspected homosexuals while they were carrying out a wedding ceremony in a hotel in the state of Delta.


The state police stated that they would soon parade the suspects in a post on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle.


Over a hundred gay suspects have been detained by Delta State Command while performing a gay wedding ceremony in a hotel. We will be going live not long from now on Facebook to march the said suspects."


According to The News, security personnel have arrested and paraded individuals they believe to be homosexuals since the anti-gay law was signed in 2014.


In December 2020, the Lagos State Police Order captured 10 people associated with gay exercises in a massage parlor situated in the Okota region of the state.


At the Kelly Ann hotel in Egbeda earlier in 2018, the state police paraded 57 men for alleged homosexual activities.


In January 2022, eight claimed gay people were captured in a lodging in Isolo, Lagos for supposed gay exercises.
