Importer arrested for bribing Nigeria custom service with $54,330 dollars

 The Nigerian Custom service (NCS) on Monday August 28, 2023 said it has arrested a Nigerian importer called Boniface Ike for offering $54,330 (50) million bribe to the officers of the Tin-Can Island command of the service.

Over the seizure of two 40 feet containers laden with illicit and other dangerous drugs imported into the country from India. The NCS insist that they will never jeopardize the health and safety of Nigerians by accepting any form of bribery which is against the rules of the NCS.

The NCS said it will remain resilient and warned that there is no need to continue with this illegal act cause it anti-smuggling officers is hands steady to fish out anyone involved in this criminal act.
