FCT Minister Wike ends community clash and call contractors back to site in Abuja
The minister for Federal capital Territory Abuja, Nyesom Wike have resolved a bloody community clash which has been stopping a construction work of Abuja Airport Second Runway.
The project was awarded with N825 million as a compensation to the affected community members, a road and a health care facility.
Wike made the announcement after a meeting with the Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo, Minister of State, FCT, Mariya Mahmoud, the Sarki of Jiwa and representatives of the community.
Contractors for the project are now expected to immediately mobilise to site and to commence work as soon as possible.
Recall that president Tinubu through his Spokesperson and Special Adviser Ajuri Ngelale had earlier said his principal will not tolerate incompetence in his cabinet.
President Tinubu also made it clear to Nyesom Wike that if he (Tinubu) ask for land in Abuja let his request be rejected, but his goal is to see a Metro Line working in Abuja.
