On Monday, April 25, 2022, the reality TV personality announced this on Twitter in response to the Academic Staff Union of Universities' strike, which had kept Nigerian students at home for months.
"I'm terrified, ooo, I'm terrified. This is what sort of government we have!!! Universities have been closed for months, and this administration is only focused on the elections "He sent out a tweet.
In February, ASUU launched a month-long warning strike to urge its demands on the federal government.
Following the completion of the March warning strike, the academic union went on strike for another two months.
The union demanded, among other things, that findings on visiting panels be made available to federal institutions.
It also recommended that salary payment difficulties be resolved, that monies be provided to revitalize public institutions, that an academic allowance be provided, and that state university financing be improved.
