Heavy gridlock in Slop Akpakpava at the Ikpoba Okah Local Government Area Edo state, where pedestrians and motorist were seen holding play cards as they blocked the only road connecting Benin to Delta State.

Following the heavy rainfall the previous day that allegedly left four people dead, vehicles and several building roofs wrecked.

he angry pedestrians and motorist barricade the road with street light poles demanding the federal and  state  government to interfer in the plight of the citizens, pedestrians and motorist making use the major road.


Mean while, the heavy downpour were said to have collided several cars, destroyed countless number of roofs and many shop owners were seen mopping their shops entrance as a result of the rain.

Large number of pedestrians were seen trekking to and fro as a result of the blockade a pregnant woman heading to martanity were seen trekking and struggling to get pass the bridge before Ewah road.

However the angry motorist not happy for the neglecting of the road for decades especially the bridge close to Ewah road "the road is a federal road and government must respond to them until they unblock it" they said.
