DJ Akademiks asked the "Hot N*gga" rapper who he'd want to get a feature from, and his response might surprise you.
Of course, both musicians are from Brooklyn, New York, and whereas Hov had the opportunity to show what heights he might help the neighborhood reach, Pop was unfortunately slain at the age of 20 - long before he could fully realize his potential. He was even thought to be on the verge of doing what JAY-Z did in a way that hadn't been witnessed in the previous two decades.
Shmurda has previously collaborated with several notable artists in his career, like Quavo, Rowdy Rebel, and Ty Real, but he wasted no time in responding to the host's query by confirming that he would love to work with Pop Smoke.
The "Hot N*gga" hitmaker was apparently taken aback by his guest's answer, but he went on to replicate the "Dior" rapper's distinctive gruff, deep voice and ad-libs, emphasizing how much he admires Pop's work while also handing JAY-Z his flowers.
Bobby Shmurda won't be able to get anything from either celebrity on They Don't Know before its release on Friday, but that doesn't mean he won't reach out to Hov or Pop Smoke's estate in the future.
