While Westwood has rejected all charges leveled against him, he appears to be stepping away from the spotlight. In a statement to the BBC, Capital Xtra's parent company Global announced that he will be off the air "until further notice." "Tim Westwood has stood aside from his program until further notice, following the accusations that have recently come to light," a statement from Global says.

Several of Westwood's forthcoming events have been canceled as a result of the new allegations against him. Following the claims, DJ performances in Birmingham and Bognor Regis were canceled.

In a new BBC documentary titled Tim Westwood: Abuse Of Power, the seven women who accused Westwood of sexual assault told their testimonies. After meeting him at one of his DJ sets, four of the ladies accused Westwood of sexually touching them. Another woman said that Westwood tried to initiate unwelcome sexual contact with her, while another woman alleged that he subjected her to oral sex without her consent.
