Former governor Peter Odili's wife resident was invaded by the Nigeria security operatives~details below
Although Peter Otunuya Odili was the third governor of Rivers State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. Odili is a member of the former ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) and ever since then he has been on the EFCC watch list.
The Nigeria security operatives stormed the residence of Justice Mary Odili, a Supreme Court judge and wife of former Rivers state Governor, Peter Odili.
The reasons for the invasion has not actually been ascertained yet, Nigerians has been reacting to scene as unconstitutional and fallacy on the part of the security personells.
The security agents was said to have showed up at the residence at about 5 p.m but were prevented from having access to the property by a team of security officials stationed in the house.
According to a valid source said the team of security agents that invaded the resident comprises of men of the State Security Service (SSS) and the police, turned back the visiting security agents, having not been convinced by the reason given as to why they were in the house.
However, the purpose of their invasion was not properly ascertained to actually stipulate who they came after between the wife and husband, as to be the target of the security personnels.
Although it was initially allerge to be a joint operation by men of the State Security Service (SSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the latter agency distanced officials from the incidence.
An insider claimed that SSS operatives came to the house but were denied entry due to the heavy security agents that was attached to the house, who said the visiting security men did not provide a valid information about their mission.
