It was a flabbergasted moment when a white lady was seen speaking Yoruba dialect fluently while having a conversation with the Ooni of Ife in a viral video.
The white lady who has been identified as Professor Dame Karin Barber, a lecturer of the Department of African Studies and Anthropology at the University of Birmingham, UK.
Nigerians were amazed seeing this lady in a video as the female academic twisting her tongue as seemed to have a great knowledge of the language while she conversed with the monarch.
The duo was stared at in admiration and amazement by the people at the event as they discussed in public while speaking in Yoruba language.
with Nigeria haven't blessed with over 500 languages, English is virtually spoken as the official language and often times people who break into their native tongues when conversing are seem to be speaking vernacular.
