35 people arrested over cult killings in Ekiti~details below

Over 35 cult members were arrested in Ekiti following the recent killings by rival groups at Ikwere local government area on Sunday 

The Ekiti state police command made this known, the clash which left six persons dead and many others sustaining various injuries

According to report it began on Saturday night and lasted through the early hours of Sunday

The police Public Relation Officer ASP Sunday Abutu in the state, said the new arrest made has brought the total number to 45

The combined team of security forces who responded to the scene when the news reach the area command

"Peace has been restored back community but street patrol continues he said. 

He said the cause of fight is the show of strength between rival groups, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday said 10 suspects were apprehended in connection to the brutal killing. 

According to report Ekiti has been experiencing casualties in connection with cult killings recently and the previous year was awful. 

"He further advises parents to watch over their children to desist from such act.
