Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki on Monday met with the commissioner of police Johnson kokumo 

urging him to appeal to the police command to resume duty of protection of lives and property in the state 

According to the governor he pointed out that the absence of the Internal security force 

the police on the roads could exacerbate various forms of criminality by those who don't don't like progress of the state

This appeal was made by the governor when he paid a solidarity visit to the Force headquarters in Benin 

after the #endsars protest that led to the destruction of lives and property worth millions of naira and also the burnt down of police stations

The Governor assured the immediate rebuilding of the destroyed police stations

According to the governor "the Edo State Government has already ordered some patrol vehicles and hope it will be delivered in few weeks

we will be responsible of every hospital bills of every officer who got hurt during the #endsars protest"
